Ureesha graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with an LLB in 2019, completing her articles at a well-established Pietermaritzburg law firm. Following her admission as an attorney in 2022, she was appointed as an Associate practising in commercial litigation. With Right of Appearance in the High Court, she has established a strong foundation in High Court litigation, dispute resolution, and the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements.
Prior to joining Garlicke & Bousfield’s Litigation Department as a Senior Associate in March 2026, Ureesha had collaborated with the firm as a trusted correspondent attorney for several years, facilitating a seamless transition into her current role. She is recognised for her strategic, commercially aware approach and her commitment to achieving effective, results-driven outcomes for clients.
Since 2024 Ureesha has served on the board of Dlalanathi, a non-profit organisation focusing on the provision of psychosocial support and play-based healing for vulnerable children. The organisation operates in close partnership with major international and domestic foundations, including the Stephen Lewis Foundation, the DG Murray Trust, and the Victor Daitz Foundation. Her role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, advising on corporate policy, and navigating the complex legal, fiduciary, and risk-mitigation requirements inherent in managing an organisation of this scale. This experience has provided her with expertise in governance, policy advisory, and risk management, all of which inform her proactive and strategic approach to commercial litigation.
Ureesha is committed to providing commercially sound, practical legal solutions tailored to her clients’ unique business objectives.
