Loryn obtained an LLB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2018, graduating cum laude. She joined Garlicke & Bousfield to serve her articles in 2019, was admitted as an attorney in March 2021 and was subsequently appointed as an Associate in the Litigation Department. In March 2023 she was appointed as a Senior Associate and in March 2026 she was appointed as a Director.

Loryn specializes High Court commercial litigation including banking litigation and mortgage bond recoveries, insolvency, South African Sugar Industry litigation, constitutional, administrative and procurement law as well as commercial contracts.
