Howard graduated from the University of Natal with a BA LLB in 1994 and thereafter spent two years working and traveling overseas. After completing his articles in 1998 he joined a local firm as an associate in 1999 and became a director in 2001.
He qualified as a conveyancer and notary public in 2000, completed his LLM in 2003 and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations. He is a member of the Association of Competition Law Practitioners.
Howard was appointed as a Director in the Corporate & Commercial Department at Garlicke & Bousfield in 2013 and served as head of this Department from 2014 until 2021 when he was elected to serve on the firm’s Executive Committee. He specialises in commercial, corporate, competition and intellectual property law.
