Howard graduated from the University of Natal with a BA LLB in 1994 and thereafter spent two years working and travelling overseas. After completing his articles in 1998 he joined a local firm as an associate in 1999 and became a director in 2001.
He qualified as a conveyancer and notary public in 2000, completed his LLM in 2003 and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations. He is a member of the Maritime Law Association of South Africa and the Association of Competition Law Practitioners.
Howard was appointed as a Director in the Corporate & Commercial Department at Garlicke & Bousfield in 2013 and as head of this Department in 2014. He specialises in commercial, corporate, competition and intellectual property law.
