Andrew Dutton

Andrew completed a BCom Law at Varsity College in 2018. He then studied for a LLB at the University of Pretoria, graduating in 2020. Andrew joined Garlicke & Bousfield to serve his articles in January 2021 gaining valuable experience during this time in drafting shareholders agreements, share subscription agreements, joint venture agreements, resolutions, sale agreements, trust documents, and various other general commercial agreements and documents. He has also been involved in researching and drafting legal opinions on various matters such as PAIA applications, tender application legality, National Treasury blacklisting, share options, regulatory compliance for financial service providers, employee share ownership trusts, contract enforcement mechanisms for private companies contracting with the state, public private partnerships, and merger and acquisition due diligence.

Andrew was admitted as an attorney in March 2023 and has been appointed as an associate in the Corporate & Commercial Department.
